Frequently asked questions
-
Q. Why can I only buy a weekend ticket?
-
A. The organiser’s aspiration is to encourage as many people as possible to stay in the district over the weekend. This boosts local trade and business in the area and it also adds to the festival vibe. Many people already stay over at camp sites, guest houses and hotels in the area. See our camping page for places to stay.

-
Q. When will day tickets go on sale?
-
A. Day tickets will be released nearer to the event (subject only to availability). To guarantee you don’t miss out we suggest you buy a weekend ticket.
-
-
Q. Where is my ticket?
-
A. Don’t worry, See Tickets only send out the tickets 7-10 days prior to the event. (This helps to stop forgetful people losing them!). If you are still worried you can track your tickets

-
Q. Can I buy a child ticket?
-
A. BML allow in under 3’s free, provide a free concert on Friday and maintain affordable ticket prices but regretfully we don’t offer a child concession ticket. Sorry. This is due to the size of the site. If we had a bigger venue that could still account for the 15,000 paying adults that make the festival feasible we would happily offer a reduced ticket price for children. As it stands we only have a 15,000 capacity.

-
Q. Can I upgrade my ticket to VIP?
-
A. No sorry. VIP is for invited guests and industry personnel.
-
-
Q. Can I bring my own Alcohol to the Festival?
-
A. Alcohol is not allowed to be taken into the festival. We apologise to those who think this is unfair however the festival is subsidised by the profits made from the bar and without it we simply would not be able to bring you all the great acts and entertainment on offer without drastically increasing the ticket price (which we don’t want to do!)
-
-
Q. What food and drink can I bring to the festival?
-
A. We allow in water and soft drinks in sealed plastic bottles no bigger than 500ml and you can bring your own food into the Festival with you. To make sure no prohibited items are brought into the Festival our stewards are allowed to do bag searches, so beware if your food looks really good they may ask for a taste!

-
Q. Can I bring my own chair?
-
A. We allow in the small folding camping chairs to the Festival. We would ask that you don’t set up in the high density areas in front of the stage as you will be in the way and in danger of being crushed.
-
-
Q. What time is XXX on stage?
-
A. Artist performance times will not be released before the event. We suggest you get in early see all the bands. You wouldn’t want to miss out on seeing the next best thing now would you? The first band is on stage approximately half an hour after the gates open. A festival laminate containing all the band times will be available for purchase at the merchandise stand on site. The laminate is a great memento of the festival.

A. Bingley Music Live continues to be a platform for local bands and is proud to showcase the vast array of talent that exists in the region. A local ‘battle of the bands’ competition is staged each year to decide who goes through to perform at the festival. Details of this competition will be announced in 2012. Please don’t call or email us, the competition is the only route available. No other slots are available.
