Bars & Food

This year sees a brand new and much improved bar service available to customers. Lager, cider and wine as well as coke and mineral water will be on sale at reasonable prices. Return your cup to the recycling point and get money off your next drink. See recycling for details.

You don’t have to be 18 to attend, however you must be 18 and over to purchase alcoholic drinks from the bar so remember to bring your ID with you. Underage drinking will not be tolerated so don’t do it! It will lead to instant eviction of the site.

Please drink in moderation – for advice on sensible and responsible drinking please visit www.drinkaware.co.uk.

Alcohol will dehydrate you so please pace yourself and top up through the day with soft drinks or water.

There will be a number of food outlets in the event arena selling a variety of foods and soft drinks.

Illegal Substances

The event operates a strict no drugs policy – for more information on the dangers of drugs please visit www.talktofrank.com.

Toilets

Toilets can be found at the back of the event arena. Toilets for disabled customers can also be found here and at the disabled persons viewing area. Please ensure to respect the person using the toilet after you.

Lost children/Meeting Point

If you become separated from your child, please report immediately to event stewards. A meeting point is located at the back of the event arena. Make your children aware of this location so they know to report to the meeting point if they get lost.

We ask that children under the age of 16 are accompanied by an adult at all times and kept away from the crowded areas directly in front of the stage.

Disabled

There is a viewing area for disabled people at the side of the event arena. Guide Dogs for the blind and/or deaf are the only animals allowed on the Festival site. Parking for disabled blue badge holders is available at Myrtle Park Primary School, Beech Street. (Follow signs) Please note: Disabled parking spaces are limited and are available on a first come first served basis.

First Aid

First Aid can be found at the rear of the event arena.

Prohibited items

The following items are not allowed in the event arena: glass, cans, alcohol, tents, gazebos, BBQ's, umbrellas, camcorders and knives. Water and non alcoholic drinks in plastic bottles with unbroken seals up to 1 litre will be permitted. There is a strict NO GLASS policy. This is for the safety of yourself and others. Any item not included in this list but considered inappropriate for admission by Security will remain at the discretion of venue stewards. Please note no dogs other than assistance dogs will be permitted in the arena. All prohibited items found on persons will be confiscated prior to entry into the arena.

What if I bring a Prohibited item to the event?

Items on the prohibited items list above and any other items considered inappropriate for admission will either be confiscated or can be left outside the entry gates. There will not be a managed deposit and reclaim facility at the event. All items are left at the owners risk. There is no guarantee that items can be reclaimed after the event. All items unclaimed after the event will be disposed of. City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council or the Security Company employed at the event cannot accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to items left by owners.

Camping

Camping is not permitted on site. To find the nearest campsite visit www.find-a-campsite.co.uk

Pushchairs/buggies etc.

We advise people bringing pushchairs/buggies etc. and/or babies/young children not to position themselves in the area directly in front of the stage due to crowd densities and the likelihood of crowd surges.

Weather

In hot weather bring drinking water in plastic bottles and don’t forget sun cream and a hat. In wet weather bring a waterproof coat and suitable footwear. Wet weather ponchos will be available to buy at the event.

The Neighbours

We are very privileged to be able to use Myrtle Park and we would like to continue to do so year after year. We need your help to keep the local community happy. Please ensure you leave the site quietly. Do not leave litter in the streets. Observe the parking restrictions around the site and do not park in the resident parking areas. Apart from causing an annoyance to the residents you will be issued with a parking fine and towed away.

Litter

Be mindful of your litter! Bins are provided at food stands and on exit so please help keep Myrtle Park tidy. Bring plastic bags with you to put your rubbish into and then find the nearest bin or leave it at the bins on exit.

Recycling

Please be conscious of our environment. Drinks from the bar are served in paper cups. Help keep the site clear of litter by returning cups to the recycle point where the bar will refund you 20p per cup. More information on recycling issues

Street Hawkers

It is inevitable that street hawkers will be operating outside the venue. We politely request that you do not purchase from street hawkers.
