Parents of children going to this year's Bingley Music Live festival are being urged not to purchase alcohol for their children before they attend the event. Last year a small number of youths were found to be drinking to excess and became disruptive to other festival goers. It is not only against the law but it can put them in situations where they are unable to look after themselves.
The message to people is this - come to Bingley Music Live and enjoy yourselves and the entertainment without putting yourselves and others at risk.

Three more acts added to line up
Thu, 27 Jun 2013
Three more up-and-coming acts have been confirmed to play at this year’s Bingley Music Live.
We can reveal that Nina Nesbitt, The Virginmarys, and Man Can't Fly will perform at the festival.
Nina Nesbitt, who scored her first major hit with 'Stay Out' in April, started her music career by writing and recording songs in her bedroom and uploading the videos to YouTube. Named ‘Singer/Songwriter New Artist of the Year 2012’ on iTunes, the Scottish teenager has supported Ed Sheeran and former BML performer Example on tour. She is currently recording her debut album with Jake Gosling, who has previously worked with Paloma Faith and One Direction.
The Virginmarys blend the dynamics of grunge with the spikiness of punk and the attention to detail of 70’s rock. The Macclesfield trio have been described as having the drive of the Foo Fighters and the lyrical voice of the Arctic Monkeys. They released their debut album, King Of Conflict, in February having built up a fan base through support slots with Terrorvision, Feeder and Skunk Anansie.
Man Can’t Fly are a local quartet who produce alt-rock that takes its influence from the likes of Counting Crows, Mumford & Sons, and Coldplay. Formed late last year, they have already developed an assured sound that builds on simple acoustic guitar beginnings. They were played by BBC Introducing in West Yorkshire in January with their debut single “Don't Waste my Time”.
