What is the UK Festival Awards?
The Oscars of the festival world – the first and only awards to celebrate and reward the organisers and artists behind the greatest festival scene in the world. Established in 2004, produced by Virtual Festivals – the world’s number one online destination for music festivals.

- The only social event to bring together the UK’s entire festival industry under one roof.
How Does it Work?
- The awards consist of 20 publicly voted categories divided between festivals and artists – from the more generic Best Major Festival, Best Headline Act and Most Memorable Moment to niche categories such as Best Family Festival and Best Green Festival.
- The voting stage takes place over 4 weeks, during which festival-goers can vote for one nominee in each category. Everyone who votes is entered in to a competition to win tickets to every winning festival the following year.
- Festival votes are weighted by event capacity, so smaller festivals have the same chance as larger ones in the same category.
- Halfway through the voting process, the shortlists of five top nominees in each category are announced, and the other nominees removed from the running.
- The winners are announced, and awarded, at the star studded, drama packed awards ceremony which takes place at the O2 Indigo in London on Thursday 30th October.
